Le site est très bien conçu et le choix est royal avec des pipes plus craquantes les unes que les autres. Après une période sanclaudienne (Butz & Choquin, Chacom), j'ai été très attiré par les danoises (Stanwell bien sûr mais aussi Peder Jeppesen). Je traverse en ce moment une période italienne avec un penchant marqué pour Il Ceppo, Savinelli, l'Anatra et surtout Amorelli. Que de grâce, que de finesse! Ah que ne les ai-je connues du temps de ma jeunesse! Ah oui c'est vrai, à l'exception de Savinelli, ces ateliers de pipiers créateurs n'existaient pas encore. Voilà qui me rappelle quelques voyages gastronomiques en Toscane, dans les Langhe du Piémont ou dans les Alpes italiennes. Je faisais généralement étape dans des restaurants de la démocratie chrétienne - non par conviction politique mais parce qu'ils proposaient bonne chère de chanoine et grands crus dignes d'un prince de l'Eglise. Leurs cartes des vins étaient un vaste poème en prose, dont la récitation seule vous transportait tout près du Créateur.
