Following the fact that I ruined my old pipe by not following the instructions of a good pipe smoker and especially by not using special pipe tobacco. This was my first pipe in my life that had been given to me. I only used it once a week on Saturday afternoons or Saturday evenings. I sent a photo of my unusable pipe and asked for explanations, by sending an email to La Pipe Rit Saint-Claude about why my pipe had arrived at that state. I greatly appreciated the response from La Pipe Rit to this email which explained to me why my pipe was unusable and especially gave appropriate advice for good pipe smoking usage. And, in the meantime, I had ordered my second stainless steel tobacco jar (small model) which I received before I ruined my first pipe, the package contained the 2024 - 2025 catalog from La Pipe Rit Saint-Claude. Thus, thanks to the catalog sent, I chose as a new pipe, a 9mm Eole Tradition 1 pipe which is normally sold without a metal filter. However, I was surprised to find upon the very quick reception of this pipe that it contained one. I removed it from my pipe because I prefer to smoke a pipe with a 9mm filter. Currently, I am in the terminal phase of breaking in my new pipe. I find the Eole Tradition 1 pipe very pretty. It is a classic traditional pipe and it suits me perfectly as a nearly beginner. With my AMSTERDAMER special pipe tobacco and my new pipe, I have taken to smoking two pipes a day after my lunch and dinner. For me, smoking a pipe after the two main meals of the day has become a moment of pleasure. Even if at the beginning of breaking in my pipe (I chose the three thirds technique), there was very little tobacco inside. Now that I have reached the last third, I can fully enjoy smoking my new pipe with my AMSTERDAMER tobacco. The combination of the two is a delight. Yet, a tobacco shop told me that the pipe tobacco of the AMSTERDAMER brand was stronger than the rolling tobacco of the same brand. For my part, I found the AMSTERDAMER pipe tobacco less strong than the rolling tobacco, with an added subtlety and sweetness of said tobacco that perfectly suits my 9mm Eole Tradition 1 pipe purchased at La Pipe Rit. La Pipe Rit that I recommend to every pipe smoker.

A machining problem on a pipe that was very quickly resolved with a phone call, with an exchange that was done by mail shortly after: very good customer service. I temper to four stars and not five because the return shipping costs of the defective pipe were at my expense, apart from that excellent pipe house that I recommend.
