I find that the 'pearls' really change the water in the carafe and also the state of the carafe. In my very iron-rich region, there was a red-brown deposit that disappeared after some time of use. I also really like putting the pearls in the washing machine, they make the laundry softer. Improvement: the durability of the fabric surrounding the pearls for the washing machine. With friction, it wears out very quickly. I am on my third purchase...!

The number of ceramic beads per liter is not an "exact science" and depends on the initial quality of the water. It is considered that about 15 beads are needed for 0.75 to 1 liter of water, and we do not wish to encourage overconsumption (this is sufficient in 95% of cases). However, when the water is heavily chlorinated or hard, more beads need to be used, up to 30 beads per liter of water, to achieve a perfectly neutral taste.
