In the website, I was not clearly informed that there was no chandelier. Indeed, at first I made a search with chandelier. I clicked on models that interested me (chandelier + colored cable) then in my cart, it was found that a set of cable which I could change the color + black cover ... In short, everything was fine but the chandelier had "disappeared" during my browsing, and unfortunately it was at the reception that I realized it. ==> The material is quality and I will keep it, adapting another chandelier, but it did not go well on the site during the purchase. Regarding the cardboard; for information, we proceed on our small scale to the recycling of cardboard as part of sustainable development and ecological. It is not systematic, but as soon as we can, we do it.
For packaging, we use plastic films that comply with the law on energy transition (recycled material). We do not offer packaging for our creations. The wedges are made with bubble wrap at 80% recycled and recycled kraft paper Eco.

As far as the labels are concerned, the regulations require us to mark the luminaire with all the mandatory normative information. On an extension cord or walking lamp, the specific metallized label can be glued on the plug or around the cable; we have opted for the gluing on the plug. Our black, white, brown or gold plugs are not painted, they are colored in the mass. I think it's a residue of glue left on your plug. You can easily remove the glue residue with a dry cloth soaked in alcohol or ecological degreaser - intervention to be done with the light unplugged OFF PRESENCE-TENSION.

Our creations and assemblies are systematically tested and verified before being sent.
It is possible that the material or the connection had an anomaly, in which case, you should have informed us and not to intervene by yourself by dismantling the device.
We could have immediately exchanged the device at our expense, of course, which would have allowed us to know exactly what the problem was.

You have purchased a walking lamp with a brass cage; the color of the brass cage can vary significantly depending on the parts and indeed sometimes present slight red reflections.
As for the socket with integrated switch, it is not made of plastic but of Bakelite, and the sockets are of very good quality, certified in accordance with the strictest European standards (IMQ-ENEC and NF-EN 60.598-1 for installation in a portable lamp). Made in Italy.
