The Binchotan or natural wood of Japan has really (according to certain site) capacities to purify water, I see more an interest to mask a little the taste of tap water. My wife and my children really find that water has a little different taste but not less pleasant for all that.

I had a discussion with the seller because the beads are not anti-scale for kettles. I must say quite honestly that the seller refunded my purchase. So I recognize the honesty of this seller and hope that he will make an improvement to his product.
