At home we have several water filtration systems to avoid buying bottles as much as possible. I have already been able to test these charcoal sticks and the use is really simple, you have to boil them in water between 10 and 20 minutes before using them.The water has no taste, it loses the smell of chlorine that it can have when it comes out of the tap as well as the taste a little chalky.par account in view of the size of the sticks that are still quite small compared to what I have already used I find the price a hair excessive even if it lasts several months to purchase it remains a cost.the sticks at the end of use they are compostable therefore recyclable.

Not very pleasant...

First boil for 10 minutes, in order to clean the charcoal, sanitize it, and rid it of its powder residues. Then, we plunge in a carafe of water (up to 1,5l) and we let soak during 1 h minimum, 4h ideally.charcoal has adsorbent qualities - and not absorbent. Recall that absorption is related to volume, it is the process by which a material will retain inside another substance, usually fluid or gas. Adsorption is related to the surface: atoms and foreign bodies adhere only to the surface.the advantages are certain: it is economic (a coal lasts three months) and it improves the taste clearly in case of chlorinated waterBut beware of false information circulating on the net: it is useless to re-boil the coal to make its virtues start again. It's false: you have to heat it up to the extreme temperatures that allowed it to be made, and no, your oven can't do it. As for the filtering virtues, for the moment, no scientific study has proven the filtering capacities of coal. So it's a leap of faith. Finally, for the followers, we will appreciate the guaranteed origin of Japan, guarantee of seriousness in the manufacture.

Compliant, but it still hurts a little ^^

I used to use bamboo charcoal in my carafe, but this product, which is more reputable, differs only slightly:- smaller sticks, so easier to use even in a narrow container- comparable price- much more solid. It's interesting because it avoids having bits of charcoal lying around at the bottom of the carafe- as efficient, but not more so- the fact that it comes from the other side of the world takes away a lot of ecology, especially since there's no shortage of oak in France (but does it have the same properties?) In the end, it works, the water is much better, but ecologically it's not great and at 200€ per kilo, it's a good deal! (fortunately, charcoal for barbecue is cheaper [and maybe as efficient ? we should try ...] !)

Following the rave reviews and my research, I think this is the most ecological and economical solution to consume filtered and dynamized water. When it comes to the taste, I am not so sure because I feel a certain aftertaste. However I heated them 10 min in boiling water as indicated...

Very good for the water which does not taste bad anymore

These sticks are also worth recycling after their first use. And, what's more, a recycling that stays for you instead of going I don't know where since you can have it at leisure as a deodorizer or fertilizer or dehumidifier. Fashion effect? Still, the price is skyrocketing for what is after all only charcoal.

Good value for money

I weighed each stick: one weighs 23 grams, the others between 29 and 31 grams and the heaviest one is 36 grams.Therefore, I think the thinnest one (23 g) will last only 4 months, while the biggest one will last 7 months.In total, such a purchase is made to last 2.5 years (at the rate of two sticks per year).I boil the stick for 20 minutes before the first use, and I renew EVERY MONTH (I put an alarm in my phone).In addition to the treatment with the BICHOTAN charcoal, I also use the porcelain beads.I have a water tester, and indeed, letting it rest for 4 or 8 hours decreases the concentration of minerals (or metals) contained in the water.the water of my carafe loses its smell of chlorine, it's more pleasant.On the other hand, on the price side, taking into account the raw material, I find this product very expensive (29 euros), even if it's only 1 euro per month, it's only charcoal, it's not a precious product, so the price is exaggerated, it should be even more affordable.

Product not too bad, reduces well the deposit of limestone concerning me, well to follow the indications in the back of the packaging.

Good product but fragile

Tested on very hard water, I was not convinced by the result, maybe because I did not let the water stand for 10 minutes before putting the kettle on? The test on cold water was not conclusive either: the water in my town has no taste.it's a pity: I like the idea, and the fact that these pearls are marketed by an ESAT (disabled people who choose to work rather than passively wait for social aid) makes me really want to encourage them.

Good but breaks quickly because a little too thin. 15cm high, 0,5cm thick and 1cm wide.

True to the description.

The charcoals worked very well at first, but soon they were no longer effective in the short term. You have to let them soak for a long time to remove the chlorine taste. Not effective enough in my opinion.

The sticks are well packaged, thin enough to fit in a small neck, the water has a neutral taste. I recommend it.

Diameter a bit large for a Brita type decanter. Efficient.

Packed with care and very good product

I am very disappointed because it leaves deposits at the bottom of my glass bottle and be careful because they are very fragile, don't drop them on a hard surface or they will break.I have an activated carbon that a friend gave me that is "round" or "full" I don't know how to describe it and it doesn't leave any deposit. I boiled both the same way, otherwise the taste of my water disappears so it's cool.

Delivery time respected. Article conforms (Oriculi in bamboo by 6), with the exception of the assortment of the colors (received yellow in double and not blue).

The packaging of the box was perfect. But the protection of each coal, was very limited, just wrapped in a thin paper.out of the 3, there is one that arrived broken. They look very very fragile. I have a doubt if it will last in time.

Validated product changes the taste of the water in 1 or 2 hours. I don't have to go out and buy water packs anymore. I highly recommend it for those who like to drink a lot of water!
