These sticks are perfect for purifying tap water and removing the little unpleasant tastes that we sometimes have some days.I first put the sticks in the bottom of the carafe that I then fill with water.They act quickly.It may seem a little expensive but in fact there are for a hell of a lot of time so no it's a very good value for money for this kind of simple and effective product.

We have been using his charcoal sticks for some time now and we are very satisfied.it really removes the bad taste of tap water, brings calcium, iron and magnesium, and improves the transit naturally.for the use, it is simple: 1 stick for 1L of water, 2 sticks for 2L of water.You have to boil it 10 to 15min in a pot of boiling water, then put it in a carafe, a big gourd or a reusable plastic bottle (it's not the best but that's what we did).and then you have to let it work, filter it during 4h minimum, 8h at best.I drank it after 2 hours and there was still a little taste of tap water.so you really have to wait to get the benefits.you have to boil it again every month, 10 to 15 minutes in a pot of boiling water.1 Charcoal is usable for 6 months. After that, it can be used as a deodorant or as a fertilizer, but it does not filter limescale, and you should avoid drinking the stagnant water in the carafe if you have not touched it for 48 hours. In order to stop buying bottled water (for the wallet and the environment) I tried the Charcoal Sticks to slip into the carafe! It works well. There is not even as much scale in the coffee maker... The water doesn't taste like bleach anymore. I am very happy. Each stick lasts several weeks. I empty the carafe when not in use to avoid wearing it out.
