I had done a limescale test once, and I have limescale water at my tap, so I wanted to try these ceramic beads. I did several tests and I don't feel any difference in the taste, but I didn't have any limescale test left... So I don't have an objective test. I was already familiar with the principle of activated carbon to purify tap water, having used it extensively. Until then, I used long enough sticks that I could put in a water carafe without any problem, but now, the sticks are not so long but they are much too thick for me to put them in my water carafe, so I have to split them in two or even in three, which is far from being easy. It's a pity.

Good for kids, not so good for adults. Obviously, children don't do it by themselves. I find the tip a little thin compared to the one I had in metal.
