Shipping costs are calculated according to the total weight of the package. In the case of your order, which included several substrates, the weight was between 6 and 7 kg.
It's true that heavier packages naturally entail higher shipping costs.

My first order was top notch, I tested the potting soil with the perlite, the orchid potting soil and the root potting soil, and after a potting session my plants looked better.
