Boxes arrived open and damaged. Scratches on the tablet. Support relatively unhelpful so far.
Sailproof replaced my battery, even though my warranty period had just expired. Very helpful to deal with and also followed up post sale to check everything was working properly.
I received the box open, things are missing and I sent 4 emails and they haven't replied to me
we have responded well, asking you to open a support ticket, you haven't done it. I have retrieved your email and the photos. Unfortunately, the box seems to have indeed opened. From what I see, nothing is missing. I invite you again to open a ticket to ensure good follow-up and not allow a claim to be made at the UPS level.

All other instrument suppliers included a sun cover. You do not list it as an addition option. Also there should be a choice of extension lead lengths, the ones provided are no where near long enough to get to the nav table. I have had to buy additional lengths.
Regarding cables, it's not recommended to use longer cables because it reduce the charging capacity. Moreover it's not recommended to charge the tablet in the cockpit, as an open port cancels the waterproofness. In this case, we suggest to choose our models with waterproof charging (supplied with a waterproof charging socket to be installed int he cockpit).
After direct contact with the company has taken place, everything is now fine.
I would still like some information regarding the battery life. Contrary to the specification, the battery lasts about 15-20 hours during navigation (according to the manufacturer's specification, it should last about twice as long).
They were able to add to my order to save me shipping cost.

Had to buy a second battery at almost $200.00 because bright screen pulls too on the much battery. You can't charge the battery without the tablet. Not the best for sailing in bright daylight. Recommend a couple of cheaper tablets for redundancy.
For the rest, battery life is as advertised (about 6 to 7 hours at 100% brightness), we extensively inform about this on our website because yes, a 1000 nits screen drains a lot of power and you have to take this into account.
I highly recommend. The seriousness and competence of this company is no longer to be demonstrated.
The very first startup is long, it's a bit stressful. But after that, the tablet is totally in line with what one could hope for: good screen visibility, super practical strap on the back, great confidence in protection against shocks and humidity (even if I haven't really dared to test it yet!). The only downside is the sound, but we didn't buy this tablet for that.

I do take some responsibility myself, in that I didnt realise my order was being shipped from outside the UK meaning I had import charges over £200! My parcel was held in customs and they didnt release it until I provided proof of my purchase , I was threatened with daily storage charges and import tax. I contacted Sailproof for advise as I thought it was a scam at first. After 2 emails ( this is the only means of contact) I had no response. This left me very stressed and in the meantime charges were incurring on storage by UPS. I thought at this stage it was a problem that needed to be resolved by Sailproof as UPS advised me they had put the incorrect cost on the items enclosed in the package. The item cost me over £200 ! More than expected and Sailproof need not respond or care. I had no choice to pay the ever increasing charges than to otherwise loose £900 on the original order. I will never use them again.. I am appalled at their non communication.
we answered your message exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes after you sent it. And we sent 2 other messages in the following days, without any answer. As you know, it's always possible that messages arrive in your spam folder. For the rest, it's possible to create a support ticket in our help center (what was done when you sent your email anyway) and find our answers there. Moreover, we also contacted UPS to check if there was any issue with the import taxes calculation.
For the rest, yes, since Brexit, you have to pay the English VAT when the parcel enter the country (but we didn't invoice you any local VAT, unlike EU clients). And there is a warning about this in red letters at the top of the check-out page.
