Downside: the quality of the thread recommended with the canvas. The thread is irregular and breaks regularly, so not great given the intended use (repairing a canvas for a large dog)
Waterproof polyester canvas seems great for the price. We'll see with use
Glass head pins are four times cheaper than in my usual haberdashery and seem to be of decent quality.
