However, this is not something that is provided, I cannot understand what your son-in-law had more.

However, the wireless doorbell purchased works perfectly and the transmitters seem particularly well protected against humidity. It is possible to place the transmitters away from humidity (in the mailbox for example) and use a remote wired push button (I did it and it works perfectly). The announced range of 700 m in free field seems real.
I fear there has been confusion.
