Detector and receiver work well and are doing exactly what I wanted them to. So far no false alarms. I had a model very similar to this from UltraSecure a few years back and was plagued by false alarms and then it packed up all together. I risked a similar model because of the low price and so far it seems I had was just unlucky last time. I have made my own box for the PIR which is screwed to the wall near the side entrance to our house.

The service was excellent, the equipment not so good. The PIR alarm for my caravan was supposed to mount on a stem with a ball that allowed it to be positioned as wanted. The screw supplied to fasten the PIR to the stem would not go in - eventually the stem broke. I fastened it by putting a screw through the hole in the back cover of the PIR, and placing cardboard under the top part to angel it down. The actual PIR works great,
