Dear Sir, we're not reliable because you were outraged that we couldn't leave your wines in the open in front of your door because you weren't there during the day? On the contrary, we believe that our carrier is perfectly serious and reliable in requiring a signature as proof of delivery. If your parcel (€1,340) was stolen by one of your neighbors? You would certainly have given us other unenviable descriptions. What's more, you gave us your delivery instructions after your order had left... In short, we know how to adapt to all our customers (see most of the other comments!) but all you have to do is let us know when you place your order, and so on. By the time the delivery man is at the door, it's a bit late. Good tasting and good luck finding "reliable" suppliers who leave your wines in the wild without proof of delivery! Tristan Depauw

Dear Sir, first of all thank you for your trust and your praise. We are only reading your comment now (February 20) as we were not "automatically" alerted by a number of stars below 4. I'm glad you liked what we had to offer, but we respond to all messages within the hour (except at weekends) - it's one of our trademarks, and one that our customers really appreciate! We looked everywhere, but there was no trace of an email from you, nor of a message in the "contact us" section of the site! So it's impossible to reply to an email we haven't received, and we're sorry you imagined we wouldn't reply because of a discount issue. We're particularly sensitive to this kind of question, and have a particularly accommodating policy, given how few discounts we offer during the year! But when they do exist (in our "promotions" section, not very full, but never empty!) they are real discounts designed to help you discover new horizons. We try to have the most competitive prices possible all year round, which then prohibits us from offering additional discounts... if we want to continue to exist :-) With the new RGPD law, which we strictly comply with, it's impossible for us to subscribe anyone without their consent to our weekly newsletter (22,000 subscribers currently). Dear Sir, thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion. The 2018 Billaud Chablis you mentioned was worth €21 after 3 years in the cellar, which we don't find exaggerated for a wine of this quality, given the explosion in prices in Burgundy recently. Moreover, the 2019s are still at their release price of €19, which will doubtless rise with time and rarity. We don't select wines that disappoint us, nor do we select value-for-money wines that disappoint us (with the exception, of course, of a few stars that everyone snaps up at any price, in which case we're obviously no longer talking about value-for-money). We're sorry to hear of your disappointment. If, by any chance, you'd like to try out some of the wines on our site that you haven't tried before, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We'll be delighted to discuss your tastes and recommend the wines that suit you best. Many of our customers with rather specialized tastes take advantage of our advice by phone or email (with a few exceptions, we taste all the wines we sell), and most of them seem satisfied with our service.
