I ordered two kits 2 months ago which were available according to the store and were marked green. I had paid with Paypal and then received an e-mail that the kits were not available and had to be ordered. I was put off for weeks with emails and have now canceled the order and would like my money back. A credit note should be issued but I have still not received the amount back. The store has not contacted me. I am now going to the police and reporting them for fraud.

Hello first of all I would like to tell you my case in case it helps someone to decide whether to buy or not on this website. I have made my first order of models to introduce myself in this interesting world. I ordered from 1001 Model Kits however my invoice came from 1001 Maquettes. The 7-9 day promised delivery schedule was not met the items advertised as being in-stock were not in stock. Response time for customer service inquiries was 2-3 business days this is very poor. I would not order from this company again nor would I recommend that anyone else do so. I cancelled my order which was never delivered. I did receive a full refund upon request.

WORST INTERNET PURCHASE EVER This company is apparently strictly a 'middleman' that does not warehouse its products except in very few rare cases if you read any other reviews or take my impression. At no time did they have a clue as to my order status, location of said order, or real time stock quantities. Customer service is automated, with canned responses, and few and random. I should have been clued by their policy of charging for the item when ordered, not when shipped, so you have no option to cancel or refund an order after no contact or response after an extended wait period. If you use them expect double the wait for shipping and handling (items ship to them and then to you) and notice fluctuating site pricing. It took my order three weeks to arrive, and they said it was crossing the Atlantic the day before it was dropped on my porch on the US west coast. Most of their stock is sold to the public directly through the manufacturers. Good luck.
