Material conforms but can do better for the light packaging.
The package arrived on time but I paid to have the gift wrap done and they used a small sheet of paper and you can see everything inside.... I had to wrap it myself even though I paid for the gift wrap.... Otherwise everything was ok
Good service but please stop the American sales system of constant purchase offers; it works counterproductively as far as I am concerned.
The site is great, the delivery is fast, but I would have liked a difficulty quota on the item when choosing because it's too difficult a model for me.
Except for the customer service, who never pick up the phone and the standard shipping that takes 3 or 4 times longer than what it says on the website.... the rest is perfect
1001 Hobbies has been a good source for tough to find European kits from makers like Heller models. While quite expensive, the Euro/ Dollar exchange rate is what it is. The average rating is because of their awful packaging for overseas shipping. Wrapping a very expensive kit with nothing but bubble wrap and tape?! Seriously?! For what I paid in the price of the kits and shipping, I was awe struck by the way my $100+ Dollar order was shipped. I would gladly pay a little extra on top of the prices to have my orders properly boxed. It's more than a little disappointing to spend this kind of money to have the goods shipped so carelessly.
The stock status indication is unreliable. No information on delays and delivery times was sent to me. Without my intervention, I think I would still be waiting for my parcel. However, following my request for a refund, this was carried out very quickly.
Package received in terrible condition. I really don't recommend delivery by Mondial Relay. Fortunately the product is not damaged, I repeat myself but the delivery is to review sincerely
I have ordered multiple different orders with 1001 hobbies for Christmas. The first one was ordered back early November and I still haven’t got it. It is still processing not even out for delivery. I have been in touch with customer service and they told me to be patient. Out of my 3 orders for Christmas I have only received 1. Not sure if I’m going to receive them for Christmas to give as presents. Really disappointed.
Had to wait over a month for my order. Although the delivery error was with bpost, I had to repeatedly ask 1001hobbies to find out the locations of my product. Nothing was done or communicated of my own accord. However, friendly in the communication that was there each time.
Very poor logistics
I took advantage of Black Friday to make these purchases. It's one of the rare occasions when you can get good prices on certain products, but generally speaking it's the least interesting offer on the market. I also wanted to buy a Dumas boat with an internal combustion engine, but the explanations concerning the technical specifications were insufficient or even non-existent for this product, so I preferred to postpone my purchase and look at the competition from across the Rhine.
I give 3 stars only for the customer service which is very reactive, attentive and does its best to find solutions. On the other hand, 15 days to receive my parcel, and yet specified in stock at the time of my order. Moreover, given the price, it is not normal at all that the parcel (cardboard where the model is) is badly packed and thus cardboard damaged! that does not look good to offer. For the model and painting that I received, I hope that all is in conformity because I do not know anything about it.
Delivery time was acceptable considering where it was shipped from. However, communication was pathetic!! It took three emails to finally get a response from someone in France in broken English with a tracking number and how it was being delivered. Tracking was still a problem. I also tried calling the two U.S. phone numbers during normal business hours leaving a detailed message and return phone number. No one ever called. I would give customer service a rating of 0 out of 10. Otherwise, the item did arrive in good condition via USPS.
Long delivery time, lack of clarity about availability when ordering, which generated an error. Virtually no chance to communicate. On the first order it is not at all clear that the store is outside Italy. I received a coupon (11€ refund) that would force me to place a new order. I asked for a refund, but received no response. Keep the 11€, but you lost a customer.
The item received is good but there were problems with the shipping address
Disappointed, almost 10 days to receive my package at 9.90€ postage, it's expensive, especially since there was only one item to prepare. The box was badly taped, the label was coming off, the letter carrier told me I was lucky that my parcel had arrived safely!
For items declared as "immediate delivery" on the site, I had to send two messages of "complaint" before receiving my parcel after 10 days of waiting. My order had obviously not been prepared, because delivered to the carrier, it was delivered to me the next day. Satisfied with the site and the products, but very disappointed with the service in this case.
Part given to be in stock is not. No advanced delivery date for this part. For other parts, delivery time too long.

The orders I have placed are taking much longer to be delivered than what it says on the web. I have phoned and emailed them and they never reply .... I am certainly not getting a good deal.

Standard delivery from belgium to netherlands takes over 3 weeks , a package from japan is even faster. better to mention that specifically so a faster -and more expensive- method can be chosen.
Everything was fine. However I received an order of Tamiya paints with no name and no reference. Although the fault may be the manufacturer's, however they have not been able to fix it.

1st order last year, 3D wooden puzzle, 2 months before delivery and 3 telephone reminders, with broken promises.
Delivery took longer than expected, with the wrong tracking for Belgium. He told me I had received it when I hadn't. 2 weeks late.
Very nice product, nothing to say. On the other hand, I had to wait more than a month for my order to be sent ... A friendly customer service representative never got back to me as agreed to find out the status of my order! Very disappointed!
The deadlines shown on the website are not what they are in the end at the time of delivery.

I was happy with my order, the figurines are very beautiful but I was disappointed with the delivery which was very long.
Communication was super bad via email. Had to call and got someone who spoke english on the phone who confirmed that something had gone wrong with the payment. She then initiated the order and promised that the package would arrive after 3 days.not so.was over a week later.so about 3 weeks after I had originally ordered it. No more orders for me with this company until she gets her act together.

I will focus on three aspects of this review on the shop: the website, the communication, and the shipping. The website is great! Everything is clear and easy to find and search. Nothing is glitchy and photos are very clear and descriptive of the item you're going to purchase. What you see in the picture is what you're going to get! The emails and communication is a bit awkward. The only original email I received when I made the purchase was the notification from PayPal, NOT Hobbies1001. So I had to screenshot the purchase confirmation on my browser and luckily I downloaded the invoice before closing the tab. I'm only bringing this up because most people immediately close the tab when they finish making a purchase and so if they don't download or screenshot the information, then they don't have any way of contacting with their invoice info. This was a pre-order item so when it was past two weeks after the estimated date I sent them an email. The response was within 24 hours and they assisted me easy and provided me with a shipping confirmation! So in some aspects they could improve with their communication and maybe create an automated system where we get the invoice in our email, especially considering they offer pre-order items. I waited 2 and a half months and I still had to send them an email about my item and I knew if I hadn't saved a screenshot of my invoice I wouldn't have that info when I inquired. But when I actually had to contact a person, it was quick and easy and they were very helpful! The shipping needs to be better. I was very disappointed. The package was literally just 2 layers of bubblewrap and packing tape with the label taped on top. The box of the figure was cracked open. Luckily the figure was fine but they really should have shipped with a cardboard box and packing paper. Collectors who display their figures in box would definitely be livid to see the box crushed in transit. Especially considering I paid $17 for shipping the least I expect is that it comes in a cardboard box.
Site navigation is correct and delivery is good. As for the product, a model of a WW2 aircraft, you should have specified ALL the characteristics of the product (number of parts, quality of manufacture, finish, etc.) The quality of the model is really very disappointing (SMER brand to be avoided) even if the price was low. If I had had more details, I would not have bought it ...
