All takes too long.....all those stories of superfast delivery.....is nonsense

Delivery problems for my parcel with long waiting times
It overwhelms me that I can no longer choose home delivery but have to pick up my package miles away at an ESSO station.
I'm quite satisfied with 1001hobbies.fr's service, but I'm critical of their lack of attention to the orders I place with them. On my 1st order, in which I used Tamiya shades, I asked them in a message to add the main shades that a beginner modeler would need. They added Heller shades, and... Humbrol enamel shades. A nice mix that will be difficult for me to exploit. A pity. I've recommended my missing shades on another site, which is a pity, because if it hadn't been for this incident, I'd have given it 5 stars.
My purchase was held in U.S. Customs because someone at 1001hobbies.com did not fill out complete paperwork. I was required to contact U.S. Customs and give information to them or it would not be released to me. This is NOT good business practice in the U.S. It is not good business practice anywhere. I will seriously have to reconsider before dealing with 1001hobbies.com again.
I am going to buy again, but my order had some problems and delays, and the communication (maybe because it was summer) was not the best. Even so, I understand that these things happen, and it is true that, with those difficulties, it was solved.
This is actually a French website with a Dutch front door. The people at customer service speak English (a little hard to understand), and when I sent an email in Dutch I got a reply back in German. I ordered a package including 3 paints, one of which was spoiled. Initially I did not receive an email with a tracking code, hence contact with customer service (was then quickly resolved). Delivery took too long. May have had to do with the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
1st bag received with a large trace of bic pen, after several emails for an exchange (I was first offered a voucher of 10 €), we received a bag perfectly wrapped with plastic protection what did not have the 1st ... but finally the order is perfect!
After making my order and payment no product came, after much contact via mail the company found out that the order was not delivered and returned. On my initiative many contact via mail but no result. After 5 weeks received money back and no product. A dissatisfied feeling and result prevails in the experience with this company.
Corespondence with customer service 4 mails to get a response package shipment 30 hours after for immediate shipment null .
Item was good but (I now realise) expensive and dispatch time (2+ weeks) was disappointing.
Great website. Only having to report several times that nothing had been sent and no response, until after waiting far too long the package arrived, while it was supposed to be sent right away, is very bad. Therefore a 2. The instant shipping is not correct at all.
My parcel arrived 5 days after the deadline set by the site. Very disappointed as it was for a gift that could not be delivered despite the site's promise.

Narrow scroll window and poorly done descriptions with many errors, little info about product such as weight and dimensions
Everything is perfect and very well packaged, as for delivery .... Order preparation times are too long, up to 4 days when you pay for delivery. This is really annoying, even for a current order, the same problem takes too long and this puts the brakes on the purchase, which is a shame because the site offers everything at a very competitive price, but everything else is perfect.

The product was not what I expected, insufficient description on the website. They take a long time to answer emails
Packaging was damaged and few boxes in it were flattened, to contents fortunately was not broken.
Among other things, I had ordered a 125 ml vial of Humbrol nail polish thinner, but because it was not available, it was purged from my order. It was refunded to my credit card, but I would have preferred to be offered an alternative (e.g., 2 smaller packages). Shipping times not expeditious. Communication practically takes place on the French site and is not always clear. Other than that, eventually what was ordered (minus the thinner) arrived.
I filed a complaint and they didn't get back to me
On the internet more clearly state when to build all by yourself much have to search still with some doubts

I have not yet received the product
Hello, I'm particularly unhappy with the way the parcel is packaged - a layer of transparent bubble wrap around the model boxes and adhesive tape - in other words, almost nothing. When you know how parcels are handled in sorting centers, you'd be surprised at such a packaging method.
Out of 4 orders, 2 have come defective and the communication and response is lousy. After 20 days I still haven't heard back from them. Bad, very bad.
They have not paid any attention to the message I sent them.

I received my package crushed and opened although nothing was missing (enamel paint). The packaging had the brand's name all over it and was therefore not anonymous as is usually the case. The information displayed on the box could encourage a dishonest person to look at its contents and possibly retrieve it.
In my last order, two pots of aqua de revel paint looked more like putty than paint. Impossible to use them.
Time to order from supplier a bit long
Parcel arrived damaged fortunately no breakage. Very large choice but prices a little expensive.
