Supposedly, it was to be delivered on December 24 if ordered before the 17th, so the package was indicated as being ready on the 23rd, 6 days later, and I haven't heard anything since. In short, I placed 1 order with 1001 hobbies and this will probably be the last.
I made 2 orders and both times the deliveries were long.

Having been let down by another company,I was grateful to be able to find a Christmas present in stock here. 1001 shipped my order promptly but Hermes took a very long time to deliver it 10 days!!! In addition the Hermes tracking system didn't really function well. For me to order from this company again they would need to change their delivery provider!

This posting is as at 1700GMT on 25/12/20 in response to a request from 1001 Modelkits for a review. Current status is that my order, placed on 04/12/20, is yet to arrive. At the time of order it was claimed to be in stock but then delayed whilst stock was obtained. Email received on 18/12 stating it has been shipped but the Courier's status is still at ""We're expecting it"". Update at 29/12. Parcel arrived today in good condition. Recipient very happy with it. Changed title from ""Never getting further business with this kind of service"" and rating from 1star to 3 star. No higher because the initial ""In stock"" was not true and the length of delivery time prior to receipt by UK courier was excessive (although some of that may have been abnormal due to covid related port closures).

I ordered a model kit on the 2nd December intended as a Christmas gift. The order arrived but contained a piece of heatproof glass with nothing else certainly no model kit and not even a delivery note. I contacted customer service and 3 days later I received a response asking for photos of what I had received. I sent photos and another 4 days before I received a response advising the photos can�t be opened and wishing me a happy Christmas season. I have resent the photos and received no response. I followed up with another email and almost a week later I have had no response. I paid over �50 for the kit and just want a refund now. I would not order again from this company. Mistakes happen but it�s now two weeks ago since I reported the issue and I am not confident my money will be refunded.

Hello After paying nearly 10€ for a 48h delivery I was delivered in 96h. I'm told it's the health crisis. I work in the children's sector and we too have been faced with a health crisis since 130320 and have had to reinvent ourselves to be able to work more or less normally. So I think it's a shame to charge for a service we don't provide.
First order, the item purchased was no longer available. I was offered a credit note, which I accepted, but it was for the wrong amount. The problem was solved immediately after opening a PayPal dispute. Second order made with part of the famous credit note. Order received complete and on time.
As much as in general it is a serious efficient store with good assistance over several years I have had some unpleasant surprises including lastly sending a model that was not ordered instead of one moreover of a different scale that was no longer available even though it showed up on the site. I don't know if the mishap was due to a failure to update the site in real time but I would have found it more logical to keep the money on credit for a later order rather than send a model that I was not interested in forcing me to waste time sending it back. That aside, I am pleased with the wide variety of models and the reliability of the system.

I placed an order that was supposed to arrive in 7-9 business days and instead took 12. Since it was an item I was supposed to decorate for Christmas each day of delay was heavy to catch up on. A meager communication came from support about the delay in restocking and this unnerved me because if you don't have the item in stock you don't sell it. If I had in fact known it was out of stock I would have purchased the same item from another retailer at a lower price where the estimated delivery time was 10 business days. Another thing: since the item has a cone shape I asked for gift wrapping (cost 2.50€) to have something more ""professional"" than what I could have done (who with packages anyway I do pretty well) and I was delivered the cone simply wrapped in a sheet of colored paper and with a scotch tape closure to say the least embarrassing. I think with a little more care and attention something better could have been done. I am not giving a star because with the purchase anyway I was given a 5€ off coupon on my next purchase. I will most likely not use it but it is still a kind thought.
