Fender Nut Upgrade Review I honestly didnât expect such a dramatic improvement from replacing and properly fitting the nut, but the difference is huge. The guitar now feels much more alive and resonant. Sustain improved immediately, especially on the G string, which finally stays stable and in tune. Before the upgrade, the old nut was not seated correctly from the side and there was a small gap underneath it. After installing and adjusting the new nut properly, the whole instrument started to vibrate and respond differently. The attack is tighter, chords sound clearer, and bends feel smoother and more controlled. Open strings ring out beautifully and tuning stability is noticeably better. Even the overall feel of the guitar changed â it now reacts more like a professional instrument. What surprised me most is how much the nut affects tone and dynamics. The guitar has more character, better sustain, and improved clarity across all strings. A small component, but one of the best upgrades Iâve done to this guitar. đ¸
