A bit surprised by your opinion following our various email exchanges, the last one from me, more than explicit, here is my response below.
Regarding the delay, we took 7 working days to manufacture, ship, and deliver the knife to you, this was at the beginning of May amidst weekends and public holidays.

- It is not in the clearly separated and identified category of knives under IG
- It is a model with a XC75 carbon blade:
• That we rarely sell and less and less
• As a result, to this day, we have prioritized the manufacturing of stainless steel blades under IG that we sell much more than the old XC75 carbon blades that we sell very little and less and less

This being specified, I confirm to you (as already mentioned in my previous email) that your knife is manufactured in our workshops (in Laguiole – Aveyron).

Hello Mr. Letzelter, I would like to put things in their context; just after the purchase, you called us to demand that we send you the invoice corresponding to your purchase; we tried to explain to you that we were doing this on the day of the shipment of the package but you needed it right away; in the face of your frantic insistence, we therefore sent you an invoice; where it clearly stated, and thus before shipment, that you had ordered a set of two knives. After receiving the package, you called us insulting us and calling us thieves; we offered you to return the set, which you were supposed to do but to this day we still have not received it back; we explained to you that it was you who had chosen and selected the option of a set of two knives, you did not want to hear anything; this after numerous threats of various kinds from you including recording the phone conversation; we could only reiterate the fact that you should return the set and that it would then be refunded immediately; after various insults and name-calling you hung up on us; this while you wanted to speak to our management and it was them you had on the line; we are not used to and we are not here to be insulted for 15 minutes on the phone. Best wishes and glad that the set meets your expectations and that you have certainly noticed that the error came from you since we have not received it back to this day (02.02.2026; package delivered on 15.01.2026). Hello Mr. André, thank you for your review and this feedback; we engrave our knives with a diamond tip, it is the same method used by jewelers; to see with what method the knife your son gave you was engraved; could you please email me a photo of the two knives side by side, I thank you in advance; engraving is paid in our stores and we have never had such feedback as yours; I have noted your appreciation of the good quality of the knife, thank you for that. Hello David P., thank you for your review and rating; however, we state this very clearly on the product sheet for this item: "The 8 cm handle length Laguiole knife is distinguished by its very small size". This is very visible on the product sheet, and even "very small size" is bolded. We also make it clear that we're talking about handle sizes for our knives. All this being said, you can send the knife back to us if you wish, and we'll refund you or give you a credit note, as you wish (despite the fact that the knife is engraved and therefore personalized). Hello Madam, Thank you for your message. The handles of our forged bee range are systematically made from 7 mm thick wooden plates; the thickness of the plates is then adapted (at each end of the handle) to the height of the bolsters, which are thinner; consequently, the thickness only remains in the middle of the knife and the curve is thus obtained between the thinner part towards the bolsters and the thicker part towards the middle of the handle. Hello, Thank you for your review and opinion on our website and our service. I will come back to the sequence of events: - on SUNDAY 24/11/2019 at 05H11, you order for 1,131.65 euros (and not for 3,000 euros) - on Monday 25/11/2019 at 09:04 we process your order.
- on Monday 25.11.2019 at 12:27 we put it into production by informing you at the same time by e-mail about this production process with a production time of 8 to 12 days (you confirm that you have received this information) - the package leaves for you on Thursday 28.11.2019 at Fedex (3 working days after your order) - the package will be delivered to you by Fedex on Friday 29.11.2019 at 13:45 - on 09.12.2019 (10 days after delivery.......) contact us to express your deep dissatisfaction....... and ask us for a refund of the order and shipping costs; we of course accept on the goods, but we refuse to refund the shipping costs, hence your very negative evaluation and your deep dissatisfaction. Good evening Sir, Thank you for your opinion and rating; with all our apologies for this error on our part; you omit to specify that the person you spoke to on the phone offered to send you the knife corresponding to your order without waiting for your return; with the essential aim that you have the knife well before Christmas (we were Tuesday December 18 at 09H15 and therefore well enough lead time to have it within a short week (postal delivery in 48H00). Hello Mr Baudry, Thank you for your message and rating; the blades we deliver have a smooth top, surprising that you received a chiselled top ... could you send me a photo? As for the rest of your comments, I don't quite understand the analogy you're making between the Phillips bit and drilling ...., as the Phillips bit has nothing to do with drilling ....; lastly, our kits are not delivered with ebony wood (so you'll have to check the quality of your wood??); and above all, I'd like to inform you and confirm that, in our workshops, we do drill ebony wood using 2.1 .... bits. We try to find a happy medium of hardness, so that the knife can't close inadvertently, but can also close easily when you want to do so. Mr Joubert, I would like to thank you for your opinion and rating; as I explained to you during our various email exchanges well before your opinion and rating, you placed the order at 11.01 am; the Post Office leaves our house, which is in the countryside, at 2.50 pm.
It is clearly and explicitly indicated that "if you have a precise date to respect, we advise you to take an additional margin of 1 day and to indicate it to us either by e-mail ([email protected]) or at the time of the order (box "Comments")" which you did not do. The parcel left the day after you placed your order. This is why your request for reimbursement of the full Chronopost cost was refused, quite rightly I believe. Hello Mr REMY, Thank you for your rating and for your message of dissatisfaction; recriminations directed more towards the Postal service than towards us. We take good note of it, but it's a shame to blame us for the poor quality of the Post Office's service. For our part, you ordered on 13/12 at 10H44, the parcel left the next day Thursday 14/12; I think that our service in relation to your order was exemplary. I've just seen that the parcel will be delivered to you today. Finally, please note that we also offer Chronopost on our website, but also that we are in the countryside and that Koala-like services are non-existent for the collection of our parcels.
