I looked at one knife, looked at the other, then the first knife could no longer be found.
The packaging leaves something to be desired, I was expecting at least a box, but the product is of very good quality.
Not like the pictures
The knife looks very fragile. The engraving is barely legible. We'll see with use, but I'm disappointed with the appearance.
On Android, the pages aren't properly formatted (when you get to the bottom, the page automatically defaults to the top, preventing access to the latest articles), which is a shame because the presentation is perfect.
I find the knife a little small, I was expecting another size model.
Disappointed because the personalized message of my order was not transcribed which, for a gift, is rather regrettable. I don't know if I'd recommend it, especially as the delivery time was quite long due to the shortage of the model (a shortage not indicated at the time of purchase but only afterwards in a separate e-mail). In short, the knife complies but the service is disappointing.
They responded very kindly to my subsequent order and added it to the package of the first order. Unfortunately, the postage costs are very high. The assembly instructions are not really usable: the translated text is incomprehensible and the exploded drawing did not belong to my knife. It goes without saying that a do-it-yourself kit should also include the necessary tools. How am I supposed to know which of the individual tools on offer I will need? A mini bottle of wood oil would be nice!
The site is not very clear. Difficult to find the product you want.
Knives that don't look like the pictures
I put average because the preparation time is not indicated: I ordered express delivery in the hope that the recipient would receive his gift quickly before his departure; unfortunately the preparation time of the order was one week. As a result, the parcel arrived after the recipient's departure, and it will be several weeks before she is able to discover it on her return, which was not the intention. I would have appreciated information on how long it would take to prepare the order, so that I could adjust and plan accordingly. Apart from that, no comments on the products, which are always very good.
Knife ordered with juniper handle, very light color, almost no grain. No blade sharpness, quality of workmanship - very good.

You can very quickly access the personalization you want, so you can treat yourself very quickly... HOWEVER: it would be useful to be able to distinguish the delivery address from the billing address, if only to be able to make gifts delivered directly to the desired recipient.

I find that you order a knife that arrives with a defect and you are told that it has been checked by their service and no problem but I am asked to return the product without problem and I am told there is a defect so refund within a day and no more news since the order I think they should take products and orders from more serious customers.

I was very satisfied throughout the entire purchasing process, right up to delivery. The knives are exactly what I ordered, except that the 7 notches on the top of the blade were not made. This was one of my selection criteria and I'm disappointed that the delivery was not as shown in the photo.

Finishing ok, knife received quickly but: - need to sharpen the knife as soon as I receive it... ! - On the site, the "chiseling by hand" is transformed into chiseling with a grinder on the invoice... - the forged bee is made with a press and the excess metal is rather badly removed - the knife closes badly Nevertheless the final finish is very good except for the bee... but a few points need to be revised, for less than 230 euros I would have hoped to have chiselled with a chisel ??!!! As indicated on the site, and a better-finished bee. My opinion is mixed, but it's still a very nice object, and I hope it helps you.

I find it a little disappointing for a company such as LAGUIOLE HONORÉ DURANT, not to have a well-made knife for everyday use for a price of around 130 euros (I bought a knife with a slight defect, a poorly-fitting bolster and a few traces of dirt on the handle), which begs the question: what's the point of buying a knife from certain professional cutlers when a chinoiserie can do the job for everyday use?
