First try: I say first try because it's the first time I've assembled a knife myself; but what a pleasure it was to shape it, even if I did make a few small errors of appreciation.
As for the "commercial" side, I have nothing to complain about; fast and serious service.
One small suggestion, however: you should count on more than the exact number of screws for assembly; these are fragile, and the heads of two of them got damaged before being screwed in completely.
So, two or three extra screws would be a good thing.

Gift for a birthday: delivery on time, nothing to say.

Perfect: A beautiful, well-finished knife (Prestige 1 piece, 12 cm, XC75 blade, dark horn tip handle with matte stainless steel bolsters) that now replaces a previous Laguiole knife, not of such high quality, that I'd been using daily for nearly 20 years.
There's no doubt that this one will do the same, if not better.
After hesitating for a while about the handle material, and being very satisfied with this purchase from Honoré Durand (very fast order processing and delivery to boot), I'm thinking of getting a second one from them in a while, for the beauty of the object, with a wooden handle.
