The product: conforms and seems of quality after a few days of use. Too bad in white, the thread of the socket is only covered with white and therefore fragile, so we can already see black traces since I mounted this set as a decorative light. The follow-up: efficient and friendly
I think you are referring to the white bakelite socket. Indeed, the bakelite socket originally black was painted in white and then varnished. The paint remains fragile and at the slightest shock can leave small black spots, leaving the original color of the bakelite. Despite these small black chips, the white varnished socket remains a beautiful vintage product.
I am currently putting online a new range of lamps with the same type but with thermoplastic sockets, in a more modern spirit and with perfect finishes. The white socket is created from white granules, so the socket is white in its mass.

Simple order, fast shipping*, product conforms, nothing to complain about. * at least Lumix sent the package very quickly, after that it was Mondial Relay who took a week to send it. My advice: choose another delivery method than Mondial Relay.
