It is true that the headrest helps us to maintain the horizontal position of the head facing the ground after a vitrectomy, but this posture is very painful. I'd like to know how effective it is in closing the macular hole.

I discovered the site by chance, while looking for solutions to better cope with the after-effects of a vitrectomy. I received the article within two days. Perfect! I hesitated for a long time, given the cost of the cushion and the short time I'd be using it. I've had my head in my cushion for 9 days now. And I wonder how I would have been able to comply with the strict post-operative instructions that are so important for healing without it. It allows me to keep my head upside down, and to change positions easily (sitting or lying down). It's been my best friend for the past 9 days! I highly recommend it and I don't understand why ophthalmologists don't talk about this accessory???
