I'm 65 years old. I took an antioxidant gel before the start of a half marathon this morning with the energy drink of the same name (from Meltonic). I then took a gel at the 8th km "coup de boost". I drank about 25 cl of the drink every km. I felt a "less good" around the 12th km, which had never happened to me as I was used to half-marathons. I continued my protocol until the 15th km when I took a gel "boost" and always with a drink until the end of the half. I felt better after the 15th. My question is why did I have this sluggishness when I hadn't had it until now with Decatlon gels (but they're not as good as yours. This prevents me from giving it 5 stars. Well, I'm going to take my Meltonic "vegetal protein preparation and forget about this little setback. 1h43 with 200 m of ascent is OK, but my training over the last 4 months had predicted a time of around 1h40.
