SUMMARY: When positioning oneself in a luxury segment, one must offer luxury services. However, at MCB, I feel like I am granted the privilege of being allowed to shop with them, whereas it is the customer who grants them a privilege by shopping with them. I will never spend a dime at MCB again.
I have since raised these various points with them, and they only responded to point 6: my email, coming from a known address, would have landed in spam (they apparently did not check their spam for 1 month).
The responses to questions asked on the site by customers could be warmer ('have a nice day' and signed with a first name) because I find it cold and impersonal.
A few weeks ago, I suggested via email to MCB the addition of a nice new brand to their catalog, explaining why I liked these products. MCB has the right not to want to work with this brand, but politeness would have required them to respond to me (a simple acknowledgment would have sufficed), which they did not do.
Price much higher than on other sites. One of the products I paid €94 for on 03/10/20 has suddenly increased to €105, which is +11.7% (!).
MCB offers that your order be 'beautifully wrapped for gifting', except that it costs €3, even when your cart reaches €270 (!).
Despite a recent order of €270 (!), I could not combine the <€10 I had in my loyalty fund with the current offer (a €32 exfoliant offered for a purchase >€100).
