Upon receipt of my package, I was surprised by the size of the coals. A mistake on my part, possible. I think that the dimensions of the elements should be more explicit to avoid this kind of surprise. I have a two liter decanter and I have to put 2 pieces in it for 8 hours of treatment. Otherwise, the taste and purity of the water are perfect.

Everything fine except that the coals arrived broken. I guess they can be used like that, but it's a bit of a shame. Thank you for your delivery and best regards

Hello, I put only 4 stars because I have difficulty to evaluate the benefits of the charcoal. Besides, a small problem, given its lightness, it tends to rise in the carafe, so it is partially immersed ... is there a way to keep it deeper?

I am very happy. Indeed, the water does not have any more the bad taste which it has when one drinks the water of the tap. I am in a particularly calcareous region and the water does not have a really great taste.easy use: we boil each stick during about fifteen minutes and they are ready to be used. The best is to have 2 carafes (with each one their binchotan) when we have people.However, there remains a zone of shade: the harmlessness of the activated carbon was not shown. In 10 or 20 years, we will perhaps realize that it was not so good as that.Also, I wonder if it remains well the minerals in water. The price is not given even if theoretically each stick has a lifespan of 6 months. (We have therefore for 2 years and half normally).

The pieces are not the same size both in length and in diameter which makes it difficult to fit into a bottle even with a wide neck!

So I bought the same thing and I am not disappointed, it is practical, ecological and simple to use. The only drawback is that some sticks are large and do not fit in closable carafes, otherwise it's great
