The madness of grandeur. The package took a while to arrive but that's due to the epidemic, it's already good to have maintained the deliveries. On the other hand, I'm not very satisfied with the GPI console that I ordered. First, the list of games displayed on the site does not correspond to the games present on the console. The quantity is still there but the Neo-Geo category has disappeared for example :/ some titles are in the arcade category but not all (The Last Blade for example, even though it is an expected classic)! Another flaw that is much more annoying is the way emulators work. If most of them work well and recalbox offers many welcome options, the Arcade, Neo Geo, and Game Boy advance emulators (I didn't test all of them) work very badly! The sound saturates horribly, the games raaaaaaaaament to death and there is a lot of tearing and other image defects. I'm not sure I'd have expected any more optimization, at least for the must-have games (MarioKart Gba is unplayable, although I don't think it's very demanding). Given the number of games on offer, I expected this kind of malfunction, but what a shame not to have ensured that a minimum of classic games (which are sure to be launched by anyone who lays their hands on the console). Which leads us to wonder why they put so many games on the console, even though some of them don't work. I realize this is probably related to the technical limitations of the RaspBerryPi 0, but then why offer consoles that don't run? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a console that doesn't work, but I'm sure it's a good idea to have a console that does work. It's the very philosophy of the product that poses a problem, namely offering a ton of games, even if it means offering several iterations of the same sports game (which isn't very interesting), without worrying about whether the selection is relevant and above all functional! When you start up the console, you're faced with a mountain of games that you know you'll never get to play, and most of which aren't very interesting (a lot of Atari games, even though we know that this console is known for its games, which are all similar and not very original, unless you're an Atari fan...). This quantity of games sometimes borders on the absurd, unless you are a real retro games bulimic. The selection contains hack roms, french translations of japanese games, rare games, which allows to discover interesting games. -All the games are very well scrapped, it's very pleasant to scroll through the games and the covers in the menu, we really have the feeling to be in a museum and to face a part of the video game heritage (which seems to be the promise of the product) -Most of the emulators (up to 16 bits consoles) work very well and Recalbox offers very interesting options like a backup system for the games that don't have any (i.e. a lot). -The plug and play promise is well respected, you turn it on, everything is in place, hardware and software (except for some emulators as I said). -If the selection of games poses some problems, it must be recognized that it is also the ideal way to discover gems, randomly, at the bend of a menu, to play retro games other than the endless classics that everyone knows. It's possible to become a real explorer of video game history and to start exploring this gigantic video library. In short, I'm quite disappointed that the promise of being able to play the neo geo and the GBA on a portable console is not kept, if someone has a solution I'm a taker. An interesting object but one that would gain so much from being more polished.

A great console that is really like all the old consoles I have on my PC. The kids are really happy to play on it with the controllers. It's very practical with the indispensable keyboard that allows access to consoles (videopac, etc) and computers. I added games on a USB key to have some proto games that I like. Not very easy to do at the beginning without experience but by searching you get there. There are duplicates of games it's true or weird proto in Snes and Megadrive, Sonic, Mario, but you have to sort out and put some in your favorites. It's a must to find all our consoles! and a fast shipping service even in the situation we're in. I think I'll buy the GPI Case later on.

Very good console, it works great, very surprised, it responds well with several controller, a product of very good quality, I just remove a Star because some games are not in French, as metal gear or Medievil which are in French base, well after we can add its own rom in FR so no problem, but a pity, otherwise excellent console ^^
