Good evening, good experience with this site regarding order, packaging, timing and shipping... nothing to say here. But as often with professionals, way too expensive. Even if I can understand that it is necessary to 'import' the rum, and that employees need to be paid, it is hard to conceive that it is so expensive. Indeed, even with shipping as a private individual and opting for a guarantee that covers the price of the package, we are still below the prices charged by professionals. Disastrous GLS delivery service. You should change partners because they do not do their job well and it harms your image. I thank Rhum Attitude for their response and I specify that my disagreement only concerns the delivery service which was deficient. I had to have 3 delivery appointments (taking two days off) to get delivered and I changed GLS agency because the one in Trappes was not serious. (no call for delivery and claimed to have tried to deliver...) The rum box is great, I recommend it.

We then intervene directly with them. If it is too late (after delivery for example) then we can also compensate you for the delay or complications. We actually sent you an email in this sense, following your comment. Do not hesitate to respond. Difficulties can arise with any carrier. We work with all (Chronopost, Colissimo, Mondial Relay, etc.) and problems can occasionally occur with each of them. It often depends on the local team in place. Moreover, GLS is often very reliable. The delivery price for Belgium has not changed, and free shipping is still at 140 euros (which seems unusual for French spirits sales sites). As for the packaging, we have been protecting the bottles in the same way for years according to a proven protocol (breakage <1/1000 knowing that there is insurance anyway). We can always protect better, but some devices are very expensive even though they are not significantly more effective in case of shock, and they inevitably affect the selling price in one way or another.

However, the high alcohol content deters more than one. With the May box, we took a risk because 3 of the 4 rums were 45 degrees or more, hence the Oksen cinnamon, sweet in this case, to 'compensate'. As a reminder, a few years ago, most aged rums were between 40 and 45 degrees. We regret more than one that has disappeared since... In the June box, there was Rivière du Mât, which is a very expressive rum, although at 40 degrees, and not flat at all. I believe we can say the same about Karukera aged rum. The July box may disappoint you if you are a fan of 'strong' rums because it is balanced between strength and sweetness, as we usually do. It is true, however, that there are sometimes delays on the part of the carriers and that the indicated date is exceeded by several days. We carefully select our carriers (since the beginning we have parted ways with two of them due to too many difficulties). We are currently working with Chronopost, Colissimo, and Mondial Relay, which are the major players in the market. None are perfect, of course. Furthermore, you placed your order in early December 2018. As everyone knows, that month was difficult for road transport. If the package arrives too late (after a birthday date, for example), you can always refuse it (or not pick it up at the pickup point): it will then be automatically returned to us and we will fully refund you. As for the box, it is made of recyclable cardboard, and we do not see what other material we could use to make it.

However, it is clearly stated on the presentation page of the box of the month (it's even in the first sentence) that these are 5 centiliter bottles, which is actually sufficient to taste several. So you received, with the bonus rum of December, a box of 5 bottles x 5 centiliters = 25 cl, along with the tasting booklet. The goal is to discover different styles of rum. If you want quantity, you need to look for bottles (and we have plenty on our site) but that's not the same spirit.
