Everything is explained on our website (the fact that it is P.E.T. and not glass, the close-up photos of the labels which are meant to provide information about the rum and not to reproduce the original label...). These explanations are indicated in many places. Very few rum brands produce 'miniatures' and when they do, it is rarely for the most interesting rums, so if we were to settle for that, we wouldn't be able to offer more than 700 references in samples.

Too bad!! The content is excellent but the packaging is of very disappointing quality. The package or rather the envelope arrived and we already knew what it contained. Indeed, it smelled of rum all over!.... I opened the envelope and there was the disappointment. Small plastic bottles with labels stuck crookedly. Upon opening, even more disappointed because I struggled to open one of the bottles. The screw cap turned endlessly. I didn't want to drink it all at once and the new surprise, impossible to screw back 2 out of 3 bottles... Luckily the rum itself lived up to its promises. It's a good idea but the packaging is very disappointing for the price asked. It feels cheap for exceptional rums especially at 15€ for 5cl....

Knowing that for the Rhum Box, however, it is indeed glass but you cannot choose the samples yourself from the hundreds of references in our online store. One bottle had slightly discolored liquid. Should probably not have been shipped out - it's a mixer so if taste is good it won't matter that much. But more importantly: While people were waiting at my chosen delivery adres, the delivery never happend here. They never even came near, they just dropped of the boxes in front of a shop 500m away. To top that off they never informed the people there, they just put the boxes in front of their shopping-windows (out of view) and drove off. I know...not directly your fault but the delivery company you work with is not exactly trustworthy in my region.

The boxes are very pretty and the rum samples offered in glass vials are very varied and allow for a rich and varied discovery. The little notebooks with descriptions and explanations about each rum are very enriching and allow for a better appreciation of the tasting. Too bad that starting from the 4th box, the packaging is poor: rum in mini plastic bottles, we lose 1 cl per sample compared to the previous boxes and there is no longer a booklet to explain the delivered rums.

Indeed, as explained on the website, starting from the 4th box, the formula is different because we believe that with the first 3 boxes you have been able to get an overview of different types of rum and thus you have been able to form an opinion on what you prefer. That is why the formula changes. There are advantages and disadvantages: - Advantages: we take your tastes into account (we send you an email at least a week in advance which you need to respond to indicate what you preferred in the first 3 boxes, so that we can create a 'custom-made' composition, which is the whole point of the formula) + the 'quality/price' ratio of the rums is at a much higher level than the first 3 boxes because we factor in the savings made on the very sophisticated packaging of the first 3 boxes into the price of the rums. - Disadvantages: it is less presentable and there is no booklet (as each box is now different). However, you can use the QR code to go directly to the explanatory sheet of the rum on the website. That said, we are currently considering an evolution of the formula and this comment will be very useful to us. Some customers have loved this 'personalized' aspect starting from the 4th box, while others, like you, regret the absence of packaging and booklet. We remain at your disposal. A gift box ordered for a birthday, received 4 days before the desired delivery date (as the date choice was offered) and the birthday card proposed with the gift was forgotten in the package... too bad. However, the box was well packaged (with gift wrap as promised) and I received a quick response with apologies and a good acknowledgment of the improvements to be made, following the report of these small errors. The delivery time was a bit long, 5 days for me. I tested the monthly box to give as a gift but was very disappointed, especially with the packaging. It does not look like the photo, very difficult to give to someone. Otherwise, the rums are fine.

I looked at your order: the box you received has the advantage of being 100% recyclable but the disadvantage of being less presentable than the current boxes. We chose to stop making this type of box precisely to avoid these understandable disappointments. The 3 current boxes of the subscription perfectly match the photo: magnetic closure, padding designed for optimal support without too much material (ecology requires...), and, just like the one you received, screen-printed glass bottles, tasting booklet with explanations on each of the rums, and sleeve.
