After years of searching, I finally found a sun protection hat that I am really satisfied with. It is about three times more expensive than many competing products, but those usually ended up in my drawer after a short time because there was always something about each model that bothered me. This hat has far exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to putting it on every time. The 10.2 cm wide brim protects my face and neck very well from direct sunlight, and even in high outdoor temperatures, the hat is comfortable to wear. I also like the slight stiffness of the brim, which makes the hat look more like a classic straw hat or Australian ranger hat, rather than like many other UV protection hats with their often droopy brims. There is only one point that I think could be improved: in windy conditions, the brim tends to lift up easily and gets pushed against the crown of the hat. An additional stiffening at the transition between the brim and the crown could enhance the wearing pleasure even on sunny but windy days. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
