The idea of a plastic pot is an excellent one, as it weighs much less than a stoneware pot and is easier to handle. But this pot has major shortcomings: - Poor-quality plastic with encrusted manufacturing waste (made in Slovenia) - Insufficient finish. Needed to be deburred before use - Lid pops off during fermentation, splattering the surrounding area.

Hello, as you've rightly pointed out, the advantage of plastic pots is their weight. They are much lighter and this is much appreciated, especially when the pot is full of brine and vegetables. Rest assured, the plastic is guaranteed for food contact, and is pure polyethylene. For more traditional models, stoneware or ceramics offer a better finish.

Fragile, the screw shaft twisted after the 1st use. (Grapes, crushed, pierced and crushed) No small tube for juice drainage, no space to place a container, and all the juice spills out all around.
