So far so good.....ll Couriered to UK from France by DHL during Christmas week, arrived before most of our UK parcels which were ordered much earlier! This would be 5 stars, except for the fact that this expensive, sophisticated wooden sailing ship model kit was open and had been repackaged somewhere along the line. There is no way to tell if anything is missing due to the complexity of the model (Amati HMS Surprise from the Aubrey/Maturin novels).

Very well designed site, I always enjoy using it. Wide choice of layouts. The menus are clear and well designed. The many advanced search options allow you to narrow down the list sufficiently. In the list obtained, the model box drawings are clearly visible without taking up too much space. Packages can be picked up at a nearby relay station. My only complaint is that the search and display time is too long after each click on a search option: 10 to 15 seconds, even though I use a very fast Internet connection. If you have to check 5 boxes to get the list you want, it takes over a minute for it to appear. To reduce this time, I'd need to be able to click on all the desired options first, and only then launch the search.

I am very disappointed by the site 1001 maquettes. I ordered a model of an aston martin on Friday afternoon at 5pm and the order was dispatched immediately. Having no news about the parcel a week later I contacted them and was informed that in fact they did not have it in stock! I was offered an alternative solution to the product, but it didn't suit me. So I asked for a refund. A week later I'm still waiting... in short they're very quick to debit but on the other hand updating their stock informing their customers and refunding them there's work there! 29-12-2014: still nothing on my account... 30-12-2014: that's it...thanks

Unsatisfactory response to damaged goods report. I ordered a Great Planes Giant Big Stik model aircraft which arrived with some damage to the rear of the fuselage. I reported the damage with photographs of both model and packaging and asked 1001model kits for their comments. Having paid over £300 for the model which was to be a special Christmas present (which I had noted on my order) I imagined they would at least have offered to reduce the price as I had received damaged goods. Their reply follows: Dear Sir, I am deeply sorry for the damage. Unfortunately we are located in France and have no solution for repairs in the UK. I suggest that you repair it yourself, this should not be too complicated. Best regards, -- Customer service UK buyers beware.

Not only were the shipping charges higher than they should have been for such an item (and higher than their website advertised) but to take at least three weeks to arrive is unacceptable. I could have purchased from a company in Australia that I've bought from before and had it here in a week. Really disappointed. 12/30 - still have not arrived. Cancelling order.

Terrible experience with no response It's now 1/16 -It has now been a month since I placed my order and I have nothing to show for it except a $106 charge to my credit card. Based upon the last response I received from your company, I expected at least a partial shipment. Again, I have not received anything. I have not received my order, tracking number or any follow-up response. This has been the worst on-line experince. I placed my order on 12/12 for Christmas. The website indicated it was ""in stock"" and would be here in time. Credit card was charged $106 immediately. That is the only thing they have gotten correct. Now MORE THAN A MONTH LATER and I do not have my order and have not heard from a representative of 1001modelkits...but they still have my money. Respectfully I have asked for them to cancel my order and post a credit but still no response. Placed an order on 12/12 for Christmas. It is now 1/5 and I still have not received my order. In addition I asked for an update and did not receive a response. Customer service is non-existent. Placed an order on 12/12. According to the website the order is still being processed but my credit card was charged immediately. I have now emailed on two occasions with no response. Prior to oreddering, the website said it would be available for Christmas...not likley.

I ordered a maréchal d'Empire statuette that looked very good in the photo. I received an unidentifiable figure in raw resin and as a spare part. I was so angry that I couldn't even react at the time! This statuette was a Christmas present, so I'm disappointed!
