I was quite pleased to see that1001 Hobbies had a Model Kit I didn't know existed, a 1/72 scale Convair Seadart jet fighter seaplane model kit.
The model kit took awhile to get to me, but once I realized it was being shipped from France to me in the US, it all made perfect sense. Unfortunately during ship ment the box containing the kit was partially crushed either by the French or US Postal Services.
It is equally possible that the US or French Customs Departments damaged the shipping box.
The model kits box even got some creases and could be seen from the half destroyed shipping box.
In other words, the model kit's box got beat up pretty good during shipment.
The good news is that despite the abuse the model kit recived during shipment, the parts inside the model kit's box remained undamaged and intact, but it was a close call.
All tha being said I am looking forward to getting around and building this model kit and I will checking out the website for possible purchase of additonal model kits.
