As a returning customer I am once again happy with the service and communication from the team at Black Armoury. The customised jacket I ordered fits great and looks both very robust and stylish. Delivery was postponed by some time due to circumstances outside of BA's control, but communication about this was quick and friendly.

Purchase November 2025 reception in April 2026.... I am still missing the pants.... To have the equipment for my needs, I had to agree to change the color of the helmet cover. Today the equipment was inaugurated for the medieval, it is of good quality. I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been for this delay and the missing item. I hope the pants will arrive quickly.

Placed my in August order while the team was on their summer break. Communication about this causing a delay was clear, and the discount for the inconvenience was a nice offer. My order was shipped and delivered shortly after they resumed normal service, with no issues.

The item fits perfectly, and I received the right size, however, be careful to tape the package along the entire length of the opening! Mine had suspicious marks around the opening as if someone had tried to force it... But apart from that, perfect! :D

The products are good, but "4 months" to be delivered is too long. No information before or during the delivery on the reason for the delay, no response to the message or the phone, no possibility of cancellation. I ended up believing that I had been scammed and telling myself that I would not see the shadow of a product. It's a shame, I could have been understanding about the delay of certain items, it would have saved me from buying other products elsewhere and ending up with a duplicate.

Hello, I am truly sorry for the lack of responses to your queries about your order and also for the delays you faced and the frustration it caused. I understand how disappointing it is to end up with duplicates. As you will have noticed, we had major problems due to serious technical issues with our previous communications system (including the phone). We are currently in the process of switching systems to remedy these problems and ensure that communications run smoothly, but unfortunately as I am alone setting it up, while catching up and migrating messages to this new system, it is not going as fast as I would have liked. There was a slight misunderstanding leading to my order arriving later than expected, but when it did the product was top notch. The support staff was very professional, polite and helpful in clearing up the issue, keeping me updated on their own initiative.

Generally OK, but the goods advertised as 'in stock' on web site should reflect real availability in the store, to avoid orders that consumers need to wait much longer than expected or to request refund. Customers service is great, and once goods are shipped delivery is fast.

Hello Mika. We are very sorry, both that you did not get a reply and for the issue with the gloves. We did indeed have a system issue over the summer that did not notify us of incoming messages sent through the website. I have just, thanks to your review, seen the message (which I am pasting below for reference). This is clearly a manufacturing defect and is not occurring on the vast majority of this style of glove we have sold since 2017. I will gladly either replace the gloves with a new pair from our next batch, or refund the gloves to you. Please let me know which you prefer. Kind regards, Anthony Original message from you (image link removed for security): "I received the shipment last week but unfortunately the seams on the gloves are not built for purpose as after only light sparring with rondel and rapier, approximately 30 minutes each, the underside panel of the left forearm separated on two sides from the rest of the forearm with the right glove having the same seam beginning to unravel."

Overall, I am satisfied with the product and the responsiveness of the team while they manufactured and shipped the products. I rated this 4 stars rather than 5 because the production time was about 4-6 weeks, but I am overall OK with that because Black Armoury managed my expectations along the way. They were honest about the delivery time and responded quickly to my email inquiry, sent around 4 weeks after the purchase. I would recommend this company and I would by from them again.

I placed my order on the 28th of December 2022. After months of querying and promises of “next week”, and automated “out of the office this week” replies, it eventually dispatched on the 18th of May 2023. The product itself is excellent, but the service from the retailer was less than satisfactory.

At the time I placed the order I didn't realize that the helmet was backordered. And I don't think that it was all that obvious on the site that it was backordered. So the resulting wait was not nice. But if I had ordered it from a US distributer I would have only gotten it a week or two earlier. And at the time the exchange rate was very good for me so it was a good deal. Communication was also a bit of a problem, but I understand that they were going through a staff shakeup, or some such. So OK. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not a 5.
