Though I received my items in good shape, I waited nearly two months to get them. Furthermore, the first answer I got was after a month and a half of repeated calls and e-mails.

At the time I placed the order I didn't realize that the helmet was backordered. And I don't think that it was all that obvious on the site that it was backordered. So the resulting wait was not nice. But if I had ordered it from a US distributer I would have only gotten it a week or two earlier. And at the time the exchange rate was very good for me so it was a good deal. Communication was also a bit of a problem, but I understand that they were going through a staff shakeup, or some such. So OK. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not a 5.

It was ok, but communication was bad for a little while

2 people on customer service : the manager was very good, but the employee was not very professionnal, though sympathetic. Delivery seems to have been triggered because I phoned them. However good experience and good service overall. Would buy again if needed.

Good adaptability to change our orders in function of what they have, gear is quite good, might wish for two things: indications of which piece is compatible with wich, and maybe keep a bit more stock

Good products at a competitive price. The order took a bit of time to be completed, but given the supply difficulties, it was expected.

So the products are good, phone support was good, resolutions to problems are decent... The biggest problem was bad communication: they had some value chain issues due to the was in Ukraine. Cool. But could we all get an e-mail ? I've waited for more than 2 months for a reply to an e-mail, tried hinting about the situation on Facebook, had to call twice to get to support. It wasn't easy to figure out what's up with my order. Support was good, we fixed everything fast and the products are what i expected. I just wish communication was better and i have a better overview of what's up with the stuff i ordered.

It was fine, however, teher was a bit delay between the order and the start of shipping. There was few informations about the blackarmoury processing time. However, the shipping and processing was fine.

Good products at fair prices but crazy delivery times. 11 days delay to not receive items that were in stock on time (all reservations and payments made, we had to leave for abroad without having received our protective equipment and hoping to borrow some on site).

Black Armoury offers very good products and the customer service is impeccable. The only big problem is the delays, every order I placed at BA arrived with a lot of delays, and they were only shipped after a phone follow-up. Personally, I will not order from BA again, but if the delays don't scare you, don't hesitate.

Order received quickly, but one of the protections seems impossible to install and it's been 2 months since I've been waiting for a response from the seller.

the product is good, it came quickly after posting but after a long time waiting and not answers after having contacted them, they sent it after I complained to paypal for a refund.

They're a good provider of HEMA gear, be it protections or weapons simulators, with a rather large choice for more than just longsword. What their customer support lacks in response time (which can absolutely be forgiven in current pandemic era) they absolutely make up for in their care to satisfy customers. Haven't hesitated to order again, and recommend them to my club mates.

I was kept up to date nicely on my order progress as there was a bit of delay in the goods arriving. Response time was swift. Very satisfied with the products.

Althoug i chose for bank transfer the payment went verry swiftly. And they have a track & trace option for non registered clients. It took a bit before the real transport started but i received my package overall in good time.

Order took long, but worst was getting no answer when I contaced them twice.

Good and very friendly contact & service, only shipping and respective support was a little delayed.

Everything is fine, but the ’guest tracking’ function didnt work at the time for my order.

I really like the concept of leather sandwiched between two plastic plates; it absorbs shocks better on both the long and short edges. The price is also very reasonable. My one issue is the grip and guard both need an extra rivet as the plastic is not fully adhered to the leather. It appears they've compensated for this with black duct tape on the guard, but that doesn't look or feel like a particularly solid solution. There are also some sharp edges on the plastic around the handle. Overall, it's a good idea and a decent product that requires a bit of refinement.

Excellent customer service. Clean and fast delivery. Restocking a bit slow for some items.

I would like to give them more stars because they are nice, but there were several downfalls that just shouldn't have occurred. I had a large order for over 500 euro. When I submitted it online, the website said it was processing. That sounds great. What they didn't do was tell me that they did not have the mask overlay, and that they were going to hold the rest of my order until it came in. Weeks came and went, while they held all the rest of the gear, including the most expensive stuff that I needed most (fencing mask) without telling me anything. For that much money, the least they can do is keep you informed on the status of your order. I had to email them three or four times just to get a status update! Several of my requests for information went unanswered for days or even weeks. I could have simply canceled the one item, gotten it elsewhere, and had the most important gear two months sooner. But you better believe they wanted the bill paid in full and up front, of course. Once I finally got through to their customer service, they were nice and helpful, and shipped all the items that were in stock, and then the last item separately, without charging extra shipping. They even included hand-written notes in each box apologizing. That is very kind, but I would still rather have not wasted a month or two where I could not spar simply because they couldn't respond to my email. In the end, I got everything I paid for, and it is very good gear. Their prices are high, and since my order was international, shipping and taxes were also high. I bought from them for speed, because according to their website, it looked like everything was in stock. They need to keep their website updated, and inform their customers better. But they are fair and try to do the right thing.
