The kit was given to me as a gift. The instructions are very inadequate; I had to go on the Internet to get a demonstration of how to prepare and assemble it. The piece of wood supplied for the handle is too fragile and split; I replaced it with marine plywood. Too bad!

Hello Mr. Biermann, Thank you for your feedback; perhaps you didn't read the instructions we supply with our kits correctly, or even in full: we'd be happy to e-mail you more detailed assembly instructions.
As for the handle splitting, it's quite surprising (as the wood is quite soft) and the first time we've had this feedback from a customer; perhaps you didn't use the right drilling diameter in relation to the diameter of the handle fixing screws... I remain at your entire disposal, Yours faithfully

Thank you for this beautiful knife, this beautiful engraving and this fast delivery. My parents gave me one of your knives for Christmas, which gave me the idea of giving one to my partner. A few years ago, I'd been taken for a ride in a store in Nice and I hadn't really trusted them since. I FINALLY found a real Laguiole knife, thanks to you, for lack of being able to go directly to this charming village. I would highly recommend your site to my friends and family.
