I try to keep up with Gérard Bertrand wines that are within my means, 10 to 11 euros maximum, by buying them either in hypermarkets or from a wine shop, and this is the first time I've ordered a case directly. Since then, I've bought Gérard Bertrand again, but not from him, but through Vinatis, simply because there were special offers. If the prices and my financial means allow it, I'll treat myself a little more often, and I'd also love to visit his cellars in Narbonne and elsewhere...

Since you're asking my opinion: I had ordered 6 bottles of Domaine de l'Aigle Pinot Noir 2021. I was delivered a 2022! after I asked for it, I was told that I had been "sent the wrong vintage by mistake due to a change of vintage that was not communicated and we no longer have a 2021 vintage". I find it hard to believe that this was a mistake (the correct vintage was indicated on the order confirmation). Rather than presenting me with a fait accompli, the least they could have done would have been to warn me beforehand and to ask me to confirm my order! I should point out that the seller suggested that I return the bottles and get my money back, but what a complication! I preferred to keep the bottles.

Reactivity, a wide choice of wines and their prices, a comprehensive website, wine quality in the Corbières discovered at Les Grands Buffets de Narbonne and that's no mean feat in this establishment whose reputation is well established. At least, here's a gourmet restaurant that knows how to highlight local produce and whose menu boasts a wide choice of regional and other dishes. For me, it was a discovery of this wine-growing region on the advice of the chef de rang, particularly the Château Villemajou from the Boutenac appellation. A pure delight to accompany the dishes.
