It's quite simple, since I discovered these things, I only use them. I never trusted plastic filter cartridges, but frankly, besides the result (clean water with no aftertaste, neutral ph), one stick lasts for six months. It's simple and very effective.

I am quite satisfied with my purchase. The bag contains 4 sticks of Binchotan. It turns out that they are authentic, to do the test, just tap 2 sticks to hear a metallic noise. The yellow sticker proves its authenticity, the water loses the taste of tap water (limestone and chlorine) without removing all the nutrients because the binchotan releases nutrients good and necessary for our health.I just think it's a pity that the 3 sticks are not of similar sizes: There are 2 sticks of size M and one very small one (more adapted to a bottle of 1L rather than 1l5). To reactivate it, boil it in water during 15 minutes, as soon as you feel that the water loses in quality.

It's practical, natural and doesn't require any equipment except for a bottle with a big neck. I can't say if it's really efficient, but at worst, it doesn't hurt. I read a lot of articles about the purification benefits of charcoal.

Very nice discovery.not knowing much about the use of white charcoal.As for the use, it is very simple. You just have to boil the stick 10 minutes before the first use, then renew it once a month.the rest of the time, you just have to leave the charcoal in the carafe and put water in it.I have to say that the result has bluffed me. Indeed, I did not think that it would have a real impact on the taste of the water and yet, it is the case. My tap water doesn't taste very good but with these charcoal sticks, the unpleasant taste goes away directly, making the water taste very good. Each stick should last 6 months. Each stick should last for 6 months, so with this batch of 6 sticks, you can last 3 years.be careful, for a real effect, you have to let the stick infuse for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. Personally I leave it 8 hours in order not to have any more bad taste.

I found tap water undrinkable and hated the taste of water filtered in a brita, I was surprised. Tap water not only loses its chemical taste but also takes on the taste of spring water. I never drink spring water anymore and drink at least one liter of filtered water every day. I filter 1,5l in a glass bottle during 4h and it's perfect. Be careful not to leave it too long, otherwise the water takes on a slight charcoal taste.

I have been using it for a week now every day to purify tap water. There is no particular taste. The sticks are a bit fragile because the first one I used broke when I put it in the carafe.

Good! Too bad that the instructions are not directly attached to the product... You have to ask for it by mail...

It's been 2 years now that we have adopted this filtering system and we are very happy with it.I used to buy from another vendor and we had to boil the coals twice before each use (not very serious) but for this one we only needed one time.The + :- (+++) No more plastic bottles!- The water is well filtered- No drop- Economy- Recurrent subject of discussion (it is not very common in our area and our guests often ask us the question). The - It is necessary to wait 6-8 hours so that it is well filtered (that varies with the quality of water) but with a rotation of two bottles that is enough for 2 amply.

I was surprised to find 32 pearls instead of 30 when I unpacked it. I started by seeing how effective it was on limescale. For this simple test, I took a small pan of tap water (very hard), placed 10 pearls at the bottom and waited 30 minutes.Then, I removed the pearls and brought the water to boil.I am used to find big traces of limestone on the edges of the pan and by projection to the boiling of the deposits of limestone around on the stove.And there, nothing! I then tested the smell of chlorine by putting water in my thermos with a few marbles and closed it hermetically. 1 hour waiting and the result is no more smell of chlorine, the thermos being closed hermetically it is well the marbles which have absorbed it since it could not evaporate.I can't judge on other elements of purification, my water having no other taste than chlorine, but the result is really good for the limestone and the chlorine. So I leave some in my espresso machine tank, it will remove the limestone and preserve the machine on the long term.
