I like this side of lifetime use. Be careful though, when you've been using normal cotton swabs for years, these go in more easily and therefore risk hurting your eardrum.

We received this batch of 5 activated carbon sticks of a total of 200g, of different sizes, and of a weight of 15g to 30g per stick. These carbons are intended to filter tap water for 6 months, in a carafe or bottle of 0.5 to 1 L. Our tap water is certainly drinkable and follows rigorous controls, but contains chlorine, pollutants such as pesticides, and heavy metals. Among the many filters that exist, carbon is the key. This method of filtration with Binchotan activated carbon that I chose to test seems effective, inexpensive and long-lasting. 10 minutes in boiling water at the first use and repeat the operation once a month for 6 months. Then, put it in a carafe of water or as in my case, in a bottle of water and leave it in the fridge for a day. The taste of the water seems to be very different with this carbon. Quite positive. It is necessary to believe that these sticks of carbon really release minerals, trace elements.so, yes, it is a good alternative to the bottles these filtering coals.Recommend because the 3 sticks offer a good lifespan for a price which remains reasonable.I hope that my opinion will be useful to you.

First of all, I would like to point out that the water in my house is very hard.Strong points :- ecological and natural- simple and easy preparation (10min in boiling water, and personally I rinse the charcoal before putting it in the water carafe)- takes little space- effectively softened water, especially at room temperature- long duration (6 months) so economical compared to filtering carafes where the filter only lasts one month- can give a nice decorative effect in the carafeWeak points :- anticipate at least 4h before being able to taste purified water (they indicate at least 4h for a good water and at least 8h for an excellent water)- the carbon can go out of the carafe if you pour it with little water in it- the carbon can make noise by moving in a carafe not very full
