Thank you for your feedback. There is indeed an explanatory booklet included in the 'Box of the Month' set. We produce these boxes in large quantities with the same composition, so adding a booklet is quite easy to do, and we do it. However, for the 'custom' samples, we do not include explanatory sheets because we would need to print each sheet corresponding to each rum as we go, which would add an extra cost and therefore a higher price for the customer. That is why we have added a 'QR code' on each sample to easily and directly view the tasting notes and explanations provided on the website with your smartphone. Wide selection, ultra-fast delivery. The possibility of buying samples is a real added value for those who cannot afford to buy certain bottles. The box is also a very good idea. The promotions are also attractive. The only downside would be the tasting notes, not because of their intrinsic quality, but because they suggest that everything is equal, and they do not sufficiently guide the reader/buyer towards their tastes. In my opinion, they lack pedagogy for non-initiates (of which I am one). And I like to think that unlike other more socially marked spirits, rum can maintain its place alongside great spirits while remaining popular, or even becoming more so. Finally, I hope we can soon buy Ekte on Rhumattitude!

Regarding the tasting notes, we are working in the direction you indicate, while being aware that there is still a long way to go: - When we create our own tasting notes, if we particularly liked it, we indicate that, and we also provide suggestions by stating 'if you liked this rum, we suggest this and that for such and such reasons.' That being said, your comment challenges us and we will take it into account in our reflection on this important theme. Regarding Ekte, it is an excellent bottler that, as of the latest news, did not wish to sell its rums in France. But we have followed up with them...
