The thinness has no impact on sun protection.

This is indeed a deliberate choice: our lenses are made of TAC, a material chosen precisely for its lightness, optical clarity, and laminated polarization at the core of the lens, which cannot be delaminated. Its flexibility also provides protection, as it absorbs shock by bending where a thicker and stiffer lens would mark.

As for sun protection, it does not depend on thickness, but on the filters of the lens: UV400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays, category 3 tint suitable for full sun, and compliance with international optical standards ISO 12312-1, ANSI Z80.3, and AS/NZS 1067.
