You are absolutely right, and you have found the right gesture: our TAC lenses are a bit less curved at rest than the original lenses, but this same material is flexible, and that is precisely what allows for this gradual installation. So you have to dare to press firmly, the lens is designed for that, and once in position it perfectly conforms to the curvature of the frame and does not move anymore.

A word on what it entails: our lenses are cut to order in our laboratory in Boulogne-Billancourt, to the exact dimensions of your model, with polarization laminated at the core of the lens. This is not mass production, and it inevitably affects the price compared to a complete pair made in large quantities.

Our tinted photochromic lenses cover the category range from 1 to 3: they lighten significantly indoors, but always retain some coloration, they never become transparent. This is the behavior specific to this technology.

For a truly clear lens indoors, you should choose our transparent photochromic lens, category 0 to 3, colorless at rest and darkening in the sun under UV effects.

On the thinness, you are right, and it is a deliberate choice: we use TAC, a cellulose-based material selected for its optical clarity, its lightness and its polarizing filter laminated at the very core of the lens. Its flexibility is also a protection, it absorbs impact by flexing where a thicker, rigid lens would mark.

On the size, your concern deserves a proper answer rather than waiting to see. Many models exist in several sizes, sometimes just one or two millimetres apart, and it happens that a neighbouring variant gets selected at the time of ordering, which is enough to make fitting noticeably easier than it should be.
