We are sorry to learn that, two months after your purchase, you are not entirely satisfied with the product. Upon receipt of your package and the photo you sent us, we took care to have your Tsuge pipe examined directly by the manufacturer. As indicated in our previous email exchanges, your pipe overheated too much, which caused the wood to literally burn. When using a new pipe, it is imperative to perform a slow and gradual cake formation so that a protective layer of carbon forms inside the bowl. Generally, it should always be possible to hold the pipe in hand without it being uncomfortable. If one feels that a pipe starts to heat up, it is essential to let it cool down or even extinguish it and relight it gently later. After analysis, the pipe masters from Tsuge confirmed that this is not a manufacturing defect. According to our general sales conditions, this situation unfortunately does not allow for warranty coverage.
