I have been using activated carbons for 2 weeks now, the taste of the water is a little better but it is difficult for me to judge its efficiency on pesticides, drugs and other undesirable molecules... Only an analysis before and after using the charcoal could reassure me! My only consolation is not to use plastic bottles anymore.

Hello, I give the rating of 3 simply because it is difficult to access the essential information about the coals. I suggest you write a summary such as Product Name, Number in Container, size of coals and especially the number of liters filterable per coal, under the product picture. I tear my hair out every time to know how many coals and of what size, how many boxes, I have to buy for my 8 liter bottles. I spend at least an hour re-reading everything each time. The water tastes like tap water and yet I took the grey and pink beads. Maybe I should take activated carbon in addition to the pearls. For the moment I don't drink the water directly but I use it to make herbal teas or to cook.

The charcoal sticks I ordered float in the carafe even after 1 night of soaking and 2 water changes. I had to boil them for 10', to try to change their density, and they broke. I miss the Japanese binchotan; not happy with these purifying activated carbons.

I often use activated charcoals to put in my gourd but I am very disappointed because what I received would be more like half charcoals, there is even one that is around 5cm which is much too small for me next time I will go see elsewhere
