Manual tomato press, very efficient for tomatoes and chestnuts, but when it comes to fixing it to the table, either the Italians have thin tables or their so-called engineers are at the level of 6th graders. You have to put the food in the oven, hold the body of the machine and turn the crank. That's a lot for 2 hands. I'm going to cobble together a more suitable support,

Best degreaser I've found. Don't forget to wear gloves. Apply one coat, put a paper towel over it and apply another coat. Wait 20 minutes, clean and repeat. I've used it on very dirty stainless steel and enamelled cast iron. I don't know if it works on painted sheet metal.

I emailed Tompress about the item I was considering buying and got good helpful feedback. I decided to buy, and the item was delivered very quickly. The item itself is good value for money and could be modified the way I had envisaged, and so it now sows larger (wheat) seeds than it was designed for - well done Tompress!

25 l: Good capacity for preserving dry food, but for food-grade plastic I found it smelled very strong when opened. I therefore stored the unopened packets inside garbage can bags.

The cookbook is there to encourage the purchase of other utensils. It would be nice to have one that's specific to what you've bought. In any case, I'd have appreciated some instructions on how to use my casseraole.
