The order and shipping have been flawlessly. The product so and so. I was expecting a brightness under the sun comparable to a classic chart-plotter, it is somewhat less. Moreover, compared to a current typical 8" tablet the screen area is somewhat smaller, this make reading harder.

I'm a bit astonished regarding your comment about the size. An 8-inch tablet has a 8 inch screen, that's the real size. The diagonal of the visible part of the screen on your SP88S tablet is exactly 20.32cm, thus 8 inch.
Regarding the brightness of the screen, today many chartplotters reach 1300 to 1500 NITS, but these are permanently connected to the electric network. If we increase the brightness to such a level, the battery will not last for long, as the screen at 100% brightness represents between 80 and 90% of the total consumption.

Satisfied by Sailproof Tablet. Used in a small inflatable for coastal navigation and other applications. It is the only product that we could use as the vessel is packable without instruments. Impressed by screen clarity under intense sunlight, satisfied by the ability to have additional batteries that we can replace during the day. So far not any problem, I hope it will last long enough.

Very sorry to say that but I will send the tablet back to you. It does not change to landscape format but stays in portrait in my favorite app NV charts. All other apps do change the format for example orca. If you have any idea, please let me now, otherwise I have to switch to IPad, which works fine for my usage. Hi!
As I think my colleague told you, we tested the last version of NV Charts on our tablets and it works very fine in both orientations. The issue must come from a setting somewhere in your configuration. We have been unable to reproduce it but would be happy to help. Perhaps the best would be to first have a factory reset and then reinstall the app.
