Super positive sales and support experience. Despite late order (due to extended evaluation process) shipment was done almost instantly and I received the SP10X within 3 days of ordering despite international shipmemt. That's world record! I suffered then from a most stupid customer mistake and was patiently and swiftly within 12 hours attended to and helped. Hence, overall super professional organization. On the SP10X itself, after 2 weeks of heavy duty testing I can confirm that all marketimg promises were fulfilled. No box unticked. I'd like to highlight the super bright screen, the fast processor and the very solid protection. In addition the recommended gear from Rokk is plug and play and just does (the heavy duty) job. And last, the back pack looks stylish. Overall very big bang for the substantial buck.

Very happy with the tablet in navigation, used with Sailgrib. I had to leave the tablet plugged in, which made it more vulnerable (it was fixed at the top of the companionway, so as to be clearly visible from the helm). Brightness is perfect, even in sunlight (as long as it doesn't switch to power-saving mode).

I recently bought the SP10X after another of my iPads got soaked (even though it had a “waterproof” case) on a race. The SP10X ticks a lot of boxes. It’s waterproof, it’s rugged, it’s touch screen works even when wet, it’s got waterproof charging, it’s got a good GPS, it’s sunlight readable, you can hotswap the battery and it’s not too expensive. But it also has some simple flaws. Like why is it shipped with Android’s phone mode configuration? It doesn’t make sense, and it’s not straightforward to change to tablet mode if you’re not a savvy Android user. Another thing I don’t like is that Remote Desktop from Microsoft crashes all the time, however that is Microsoft’s fault and not Sailproof’s. Frustrating because Remote Desktop works flawlessly on iPads! Any way the Sailproof SP10X is still way better than any iPad I ever had if you’re looking for a tablet to use on a boat for navigation or mirror a computer running a navigation software like Expedition or Adrena. If you’re really serious about the latter there are options that probably are better but for a seriously high cost so all in all the Sailproof SP10X gives you the most bang for the buck, at the moment.

Delivery on time, perfect material

We have not had the opportunity to give this product a thorough workout yet, but the team at SailProof was excellent about keeping us informed when the initial shipment was delayed and the product is well-made.

Aside from the delivery being a little later than expected, the product is very good and is in line with what I expected, I only report one malfunction, which is that it occasionally turns itself off and then struggles to turn itself back on, I think if it continues I will contact support. Excellent support and timely responses. Great product design... I love the waterproof charging!

All in all a correct company. Delivery was a month late due to too many orders, but I was also allowed to cancel the purchase and get my money back. Due to a small defect I sent my device back and am now waiting for the repair. Contacting them is fine and you always get a response, even on Sundays and holidays. (Device itself meets my expectations)

Responsive, on time and delivered the product I ordered. I am satisfied with the use of my 8 inch tablet with the support systems that I bought in addition.

The purchase process was fine, had tablet within a few days. Usage disappoints me, Android is a nightmare compared to IOS. The navico app "link" turned out to be virtually unfindable in the Google play store, via a detour of weeks I finally managed to download the app. In addition, the readability of the screen in day and sunlight is bitterly disappointing. In comparison, the screen is nowhere near the readability of my B&G plotter.

I was well advised by the service, and the order was quickly dispatched.

Good tablet

Perfect product, the weather prevented me from testing the readability with my polarized glasses. Pre-ordered the product, but production problems were well documented by sailproof. The product was worth the delay.

Clear communication in delivery and the product met my expectations.

Serious company

Ordered the new sp10s in the pre-sale. Delivery was delayed up to 2 times. But needed the tablet for vacation and Sailproof loaned me an 8 inch one (Jean-Michel) Super service!!! Delivered the sp10s now. Hope to use them soon. But expect as good as the 8 inch.

I waited a long time for delivery, but it was worth it. The tablet is really robust, I installed navionics maps and it works great! A great thing is the LED that warns of 20% battery capacity!
