After eye surgery / face down - position very flexible to use

I had to resort to its manager due to a problem and I am still amazed by the kindness, listening, and willingness to help, all exceptional and rare.

Quality product that allows me to regularly relax my neck to avoid tension headaches! However, it seems too bulky for use on a plane; if a more compact version is developed for this use, I would be happy to be informed. Thank you

Essential cushion for my daughter's comfort after her vitrectomy (not easy to cope with at 14 years old). It allows her to read, watch movies, play small games on the PC without feeling pain in her neck, but also to rest during meals between courses. A big thank you!

Following a macular hole surgery requiring a bubble position (head looking at the floor), the cushion allowed me to sleep and read without too much neck pain.

This is my review based on purchasing the MassMe for face-down recovery after vitrectomy and macular hole surgery. Positives * Ordering & delivery was efficient & prompt, although the shipping cost to the UK added 32% to the cost of the product. * The MassMe’s multi position options are excellent, keeping my face, and therefore my eye, supported and stable whilst allowing me to slightly adjust body positions to relieve muscle stiffness and fatigue. * The portability and adjustability of the MassMe allows it to be used almost anywhere … flat surfaces, bed, car or directly on the lap. * The face cushion itself (I purchased the bamboo fabric version) is soft, supportive and comfortable and can be slightly adjusted to the width of your face. * Glasses can be worn although there’s a lot of pressure on the frames and they twist and can press into the face. Negatives * The plastic is sharp and has plucked my clothing when I’ve held the product on my lap. * The black latch falls out when pressure is taken off the head cradle, plus, because of the Velcro, it attaches itself to clothing and is pulled out every time you move. Scrapping around the floor to retrieve a small piece of plastic wasn’t an option for me. * The thumbscrew nut which tightens and adjusts the head rest falls off too easily. Again, because of the head down position vision is impossible, and a 1/2 turn too much had the nut falling to the floor. Overall the MassMe was invaluable during my very restricted recovery period. Other than rented equipment, which is nowhere near as flexible or portable, there is very little else on the market to match it. Amanda UK

I had high hopes after the surgery that the headrest would make it easier for me to lie on my stomach... Unfortunately, that was not the case... The support was a great help on the way home from the clinic by car, as we had to cover 500 km. It was good for that. But at home, I couldn't use it at all for lying on my stomach; my chin always slipped down between the pillow, then the plastic casing would touch, and after a while, I had pressure on both sides of my jaw... So, my jaw hurt... Somehow, the support didn't provide me with much assistance... Unfortunately...

This corresponds to what I was looking for

a useful product after vitrectomy to maintain an adequate position. However, I had a bit of difficulty installing it on my bed to sleep if I wanted to keep my head inside the bed. Likewise, I have to change the direction of part B to place it on a table or a desk. Finally, I did not find in the manual or on the internet what the two small black pieces were for, one with scratch and the other with adhesive. I would appreciate an explanation on this subject.

Wonderful! I recommend this headrest 100% for anyone who has had eye surgery and needs to keep their head down! Ophthalmologists should recommend this one because all the others are useless! Kudos for its design and the quality of the material. I am so comfortable that I even fall asleep on a table. Great help for recovery!
