Hello, the foam has 2 sides, one of which is firmer than the other. To do this, flip the cushion like you would with a mattress for winter side and summer side.

The plastic frame under the cushion in the front area had to be padded by me. As I have to lie on my stomach all the time after an eye operation, it can take weeks. It is very uncomfortable. Too bad for the price, I would have liked something better.
